19 year-old Oscar Jiang was born in Melbourne, Australia. He attended the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, a specialist arts school in Melbourne, and is currently a student at the Juilliard School in New York, studying with Professor Raekallio. He was a prize-winner at the Thailand International Piano Competition (at age 13) and Hanoi International Piano Competition in Vietnam (at 14). At 17, he was awarded The Best Performance of a Work by Chopin at the Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition in Brisbane, Australia. His achievements include many other significant prizes within Australia. He is also a recipient of the 2016 Australian Music Foundation Award. Oscar has given solo recitals in Australia, USA, Canada, Taiwan and Japan, and has performed as a soloist with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra and the Zelman Memorial Symphony Orchestra.
